Fort York a National Historic Site has seen its share of military history and ghostly activity. Built during the War of 1812 it has been the site of battles leading to numerous hauntings. Visitors report hearing phantom footsteps the sound of soldiers marching and ghostly figures near the barracks. The restless spirits of soldiers seem to continue guarding the site.
